Coming across like Gary Numan decided to jam with Throbbing Gristle whilst reading some long lost beat poets tripped out confessionals, JC Luff brings this latest release forth.
Hailing from an alternate reality of sonic misadventure, somewhere in Ottawa Canada, JC weaves his words over twisting electronic beats and textures, frequently using a very industrial sound palette.
Lyrical themes hitting on social commentary, bizarro surreal storytelling, sudden brainstorms and jolts of inspiration. Mental health, hypocrisy, existentialism, capitalism, all pour through a variety of effected and clean vocals, drifting like a haze of narcotic fumes into your brains auditory processors.
I have no favoured track, but do wish the end track You Are Broken was a bit longer with a slooooow fade out. Love the melancholic tiredness the vocals carry (to my ears) on this track.
For further experimental electronics and rambles Luff also has worked as part of The 92x.
